3 days trek with kayaking is an amazing choice for the travelers who want to get a more complete experience of what this region of Laos offers. You will explore the jungle, the lifestyle of the tribe community and the river!

Day 1

  • Breakfast in the morning market.

  • Travel by Jeep to start of the hike for 36 Kms.

  • Coffee stop at PhuPhet PhuKham farm.

  • Beginning of the trek next to the river.

  • Jungle trails, big tree “ Gatleen “ and cave visit.

  • Trekking across Banana forest to PhaLing View point and camping .

  • Take a rest and relax in front of the beautiful sunset.

  • BBQ dinner and taste local rice whisky in bamboo glasses.

  • Enjoy a well earned night of sleep under a starful sky.

  • Breakfast and coffee, watch the sea of fog and enjoy the view on the surrounding valleys.

  • Trekking from PhaLing viewpoint to Blue Lagoon and have lunch there.

  • Trekking from Blue Lagoon to BanNamVang Village.

  • Here you will meet Hmong and Mo cher tribes.

  • See the lifestyle of the Villagers and participate in various activities such as playing local  TOP ( wood spinning ) and shooting crossbows.

  • After dinner we will watch a local dancing show and live music band by hill tribes.

  • Stay at Homestay .

Day 3

  • Breakfast and coffee, processing of rice mill demonstration by the hill tribes.

  • Pick you up on the road and then Kayakking to PhuPhet PhuKham farm where you will have lunch.

  • Kayakking from PhuPhet Phukham- Nampoon River – Namjo River – Namha bridge for 3 hours .

  • Return trip by jeep to LouangNamTha.

Kayaking / boating

The river flow varies dramatically based on the time of year. At certain times the rapids will require some level of skill to navigate.

Trekking

Most of the trekking in the Nam vang NPA would not be considered easy. The terrain in steep,rugged and covered in dense jungle.

What to bring

  • A pair of closed shoes

  • Sun protection

  • Insect repellent

  • Flip flops or water shoes

  • Longs pants to protect your legs

  • Warm clothes for the night  

  • A torch or headlamp

  • A day pack with room to carry your water. (which we provide)

  • It your trek includes a jungle camp you will need to carry a sleeping bag. (Which we provide)
